Remnant 2is right around the corner, set to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on July 25. The long-awaited sequel looks quite exciting, thrusting us back into the game’s dark yet beautiful world for some additional carnage. It even sportsco-op gameplaysimilar to the original game, though with that being said, you may want to know whether you can play with your friends on the other two platforms. Here’s whether Remnant 2 will havecrossplay.

Can You Play Remnant 2 in Crossplay?

Unfortunately, itdoesn’t appear that Remnant 2 will support crossplaywhen it launches on July 25. The developers have made absolutely no note of crossplay functionality, so you shouldn’t buy it expecting to play it with a friend. This is quite a shame given that playing with your friends is a huge part of enjoying games, though thankfully, there aresigns that it could come post-launch.Related:Everything Included in the Remnant 2 Ultimate EditionWhile nothing official has been stated by the team at Gunfire Games,Remnant: From the Ashes supports both crossplay(on the same hardware family)and cross-platform functionality. That doesn’t say 100% that Remnant 2 will get similar support, but if your previous game supports it, why wouldn’t you attempt to implement it in the follow-up? Especially if there’s a lot of demand for it.

Will You Be Able to Play Cross-Platform on Remnant 2?

If you don’t already know,cross-platformis the ability to play a game on one platform, andhave that progress carry over if you play on a different platform. As for whether that’s in Remnant 2, it appears to be in a similar stance. The functionality exists in the previous entry, though its existence in the new entry isup in the airand should be assumed not there. There is, again, hope for the future though. If you’re curious about more details about the game, check out our guide onwhether Remnant 2 is coming toGame Passat launch.
