Dune: Awakeningis going to make you work for your progress, and that means you need to farm a lot of different types of resources. One that you won’t need right away, but start needing when it’s time to craft better vehicles, like the ornithopter, is Erythrite Crystals. You don’t directly need the crystals for these vehicles, but the vehicles require cobalt paste, which is made with Erythrite Crystals.
Dune Awakening Direct Shows How It Plans To Build on Conan Exiles
Dune is hot right now, and Funcom took to explain more about their Survival MMO game Dune: Awakening with a new trailer and details
Before you can start harvesting Erythrite Crystals, you need to do a few other tasks. Namely, you’re going to need the right tools and want at least a sandbike to travel to and from the location where you collect them. The vehicle is partially for ease of travel, and partially because you can run the risk of encountering a sandworm on the way.

Where to Find Erythrite Crystals
The best way to find Erythrite Crystals is in the underground tunnel on the far east side of the map that cuts through Hagga Rift. You won’t be able to access this tunnel until you’ve already reached Vermilius Gap in the game. It’s a bit dark in the tunnels, but that makes the crystals easier to spot since theyhave a glow to them. You’ll need a lot of cobalt paste for building items, so it doesn’t hurt to stick around the tunnel for a while to keep collecting the crystals as they respawn. Just make sure you have enough space in your bag and water to keep you going throughout the process. Then, you should be able to make a decent chunk of items before you need to go collect more.
Collecting Erythrite Crystals
An important detail to note is that youneed the Cutteray Mk 2for collecting Erythrite Crystals. You won’t be able to gather them with the standard Cutteray, so prepare for this ahead of time, otherwise you’re going to end up wasting your time going to the tunnels and ending up unable to get what you wanted from them. Beyond that, you shouldn’t have any issue picking up Erythrite Crystals so that you can start producing cobalt paste and building fun vehicles, such as the ornithopter and buddy in Dune: Awakening.
