Rogue Trader, the first CRPG in the Warhammer 40,000 universe finally gets a release date plus console port confirmation.
Rogue Trader Reveals December 2023 Release Date for PC and Consoles
The Koronus Expanse is dark and full of terrors. Owlcat Games, the creative minds behind the Pathfinder CRPGs, have finally revealed the release date for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. They confirmed their latest project will be playable on July 31, 2025. However, they also confirm this is true for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series players.
While the developers have previously announced that a Co-Op mode would be included, there haven’t been any updates regarding this just yet.

A Winter Trade
Owlcat Games announced the release date in a 2-minute long official trailer (that amusingly enough, isn’t up on their official YouTube channel). While it doesn’t reveal too much about what we already know, it is a nice revisiting of the Koronus Expanse and its planets, the game’s primary setting.
Exploration and discovery is the beating heart of any Rogue Trader, men and women of the Imperium of Mankind. They brave the darkness and corruption that lay beneath them in an attempt to expand mankind’s dominion over the universe.

One of the biggest tools in the arsenal of any Rogue Trader is their retinue. We previously covered 9 potentialcompanions you can recruit. However, Owlcat Games surprised us with a 10th and final companion. Let’s just say that this potential ally is best reserved for when the most extreme measures are necessary.
The Drukhari Tormentor
Humanity seldom makes alliances with psykers and xenos, as they merely tolerate them in most circumstances. The Techpriests of Mars likePasqal Haneumannare already borderline heretical, and the Imperium would have done away with them if not for their technical prowess. Our Rogue Trader, in fact, has Aeldari Ranger Yrliet Lanaevyss in their charge.
However, the 10th companion is much more… twisted. The Drukhari are descendants of the Aeldar who chose to stay behind on their corrupted planet instead of escaping into massive Craftworlds. They are often considered degenerates and are quite known for their cruelty. Drukhari are hedonistic in nature and put their pleasure above all else.

We then turn our gaze to Marazhai Aezyrraesh, a scion of Commorragh, the homeworld of the Drukhari.
Hunter Becomes the Hunted
Marazhai is your typical Drukhari, raised up to 11. He delights in the torment and torture of his victims, preferring to relish in their anguish. He has a purpose-driven life, one that is propelled forward throughviolenceand shady dealings with others of his race.
This all goes awry as the hunter eventually becomes the hunted. Marazhai then decides to take the initiative and strike back at those who conspire against him and reluctantly enters an alliance withour Rogue Trader. He is thus given a choice: perish at the hands of his fellow Drukhari and feed their insatiable and twisted desires or escape with the Rogue Trader.

Of course, we do know that he sides with us, as he is the final companion in our retinue. Saying that their alliance with us is uneasy is the understatement of the century, as the Drukhari’s deprived desires are nowhere near normal in a human voidship, let alone with proudcitizensof the Imperium. People should be wary of what really goes on in Marazhai’s mind, especially the Rogue Trader. A person who has the power to shake the very foundations of the Koronus Expanse.
