Apple completed its rollout of its all newApple Mapsexperience in the United States not too long ago. And now it’s widely available in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

In apress releasesent out today, Apple has confirmed that the new Apple Maps experience within the UK and Republic of Ireland is rolling out beginning today. With this update, Apple Maps will enhance the user experience in just about every way. That includes new pedestrian data, the Look Around feature, better road coverage, and much more.

Apple Maps is the best way to explore and navigate the world — all while protecting your privacy — and we’re excited to bring the new map to our users in the UK and Ireland,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services. “We have rebuilt the map from the ground up, with better navigation, richer detail, more accurate information for places, and incredible features like Look Around, cycling directions, and curated Guides from trusted resources. We’ve reimagined how Maps can help users find the places they love and get to where they’re going even faster and easier.

The all-new Apple Maps experience includes a lot of small updates, but also the more noticeable ones right at the surface. The aforementioned greater details in areas, as well as the Look Around view will let folks explore areas and see them with stunning on-the-ground imagery right from their mobile device. With Look Around, folks in any part of the world can explore areas like Edinburgh, Dublin, and London, for instance.

With Apple Maps Guides, you can look through curated lists of must-see locations in a particular area. These guides are put together from resources like The Evening Standard, Lonely Planet, and others. So if you want to discover a restaurant, see a great sight, or more, these guides can help out.
