Star Wars Outlaws, the open-world game fromUbisoft Massive, has revealed the cover, content, price, and format of its physical edition forNintendo Switch 2.
Star Wars Outlaws Brings Its Open-World Adventure to Switch 2
One of the most ambitious open-world games of 2024 will get a second chance in a few months. Despite receiving good reviews,Star Wars Outlawshas not been the commercial success Ubisoft hoped for—although that could change with its arrival on Nintendo Switch 2.
On May 15, it will receive its second DLC,A Pirate’s Fortune, featuring a memorable character from The Clone Wars as the central figure of the story.
A few months later, onSeptember 4, 2025, the game will be released on Nintendo’s hybrid console, and now we know new details about that version.
Physical Edition Details: Price, Format, and Contents
Star Wars Outlaws, which exceeds 60 GB in size, will debut on Switch 2 as aGame-Key Cardin its physical edition. This means the cartridge will not include all game content (unlikeCyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition) and a download will be required.
This isn’t a surprise, as most third-party releases for the console (except for Marvelous titles) will use this format.
Other details have also been revealed, including the U.S. price, box art, and contents of the physical edition forSwitch 2.
User Wario64 has shared all available details about theStar Wars Outlawsport for Switch 2—except technical specs. Now we know that Ubisoft Massive’s game will come inGame-Key Cardformat for the physical release.
Gold Edition Confirmed with Season Pass
The edition will be priced at$59.99and is already available for pre-order on Amazon, with cover art nearly identical to thePS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions.
Perhaps the most interesting part is that this is theGold Edition(it’s unclear if there will be a standard physical edition). In addition to the base game, it includes theSeason Pass.
The Season Pass gives access to the game’sDLC: Wild Card(featuring Lando Calrissian) and the already-mentionedA Pirate’s Fortune.
While the Game-Key Card format isn’t ideal for collectors, at least this is the most complete physical edition of Star Wars Outlaws—and at a fair price for aNintendo Switch 2title.
Launch Timeline and Final Thoughts
Keep in mind that Game-Key Card games can be loaned or resold (they’re not tied to an account), but theyrequire access to servers to download the content—otherwise, they won’t work.
Star Wars Outlawshas been available since August 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. ItsNintendo Switch 2 release is set for June 13, 2025.
