A recent announcement for the return of the Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 for PAX West has stirred buzz that the RPG will finally get a new release date.

Rumour: Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 Launch Date Soon?

To say Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 has had a messy development schedule is an understatement. Rolling back release dates and ultimately postponing the launch for the foreseeable future has left many wondering when will the game resurface. Well, that is until this week.

Recent sightings of game listings on the Plaion Store in Italy have also fueled internet anticipation of a launch date announcement coming soon. The listings showed that Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 could be launching as early as October 27th. Screenshots including a steelcase are also shown but look to be previously released images. After a long hiatus of news, that sounds very early. Almost too good to be true. October would be the perfect time for a vampire Action-RPG. But there are already releases such asAlan Wake 2now slated for the same release date.

Rumour: Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 Launch Date Soon?

The listing since has been changed to the end of the year, which is usually what happens when a game has no launch date announced. This could mean the listing was erroneous as this isn’t the first time this has happened. Of course, nothing official has been announced so take this with a grain of salt, but there could be some further news coming as soon as September 1st.

PAX West 2023 in September

However, things get even more heated with the recent announcement that the game would also be appearing at PAX West 2023. The developer officially announced on X (Twitter? Xitter?) that they would have a booth featuring the game plus on stage with “reveals” and “surprises”.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

Still not convinced? Paradox has been teasing a “big announcement” since back in June, expected in September. This matches up with the PAX West dates. Earlier they detailed refunds for those who pre-ordered, as they could no longer promise the original release window. They also shared new screenshots mostly depicting the gritty, atmospheric locations of the game set in Seattle.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is a sequel based on the cult classic released in 2004. The pre-orders went up in early 2021, but then the news came that Paradox would be parting ways with Hardsuit Labs. This caused a delay for the game indefinitely andpre-orders then came to a halt. Since then, a new studio has taken over the project, but little else has been revealed. It looks like the rebooted development is moving forward.

No solid details of what exactly will be shown at PAX West for Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 but any news or update would be good.

We did get to see agame preview back 2019which previewed some of the vampire abilities and gameplay choices. However, since the game went through some changes, what the game looks like currently could be quite different. But we could be seeing more this September during PAX West 2023 or evenGamescom 2023which is happening this week.
