Back in July of this year, itwas confirmedthatNetflixhad its eye set on jumping into the video game market. The company was making some hiring moves to justify the additional attention, and then, sure enough, before the end of that same monthit confirmedthat it would be supporting mobile games as part of a Netflix user’s monthly subscription.
And then, in August, the companystarted a limited testof that new offering. At the time there were just a couple of different games on offer, both of which were inspired by the hit Netflix seriesStranger Things. But, today, Netflix is broadening availability and game selection.

Announced today, Netflix Games is real, and it’s available for Netflix users with Android devices. The new service is available globally, and, indeed, will be primarily focusing on mobile games to start. So, those two aforementionedStranger Thingstitles are still here (Stranger Things: 1984andStranger Things 3: The Game). In addition to those titles, there is alsoShooting Hoops,Card Blast, andTeeter Up.

Netflix Games will be available directly from the Google Play Store, too, so downloading them, which is unlocked by an active Netflix subscription, will be relatively easy. Beginning November 3, though, games will be available in the Netflix app itself, too. On mobile, there will be a dedicated row to find those games to play.
Per the announcement:
But, what about iOS you might ask? Well, support for Apple’s mobile operating system is not present at launch. And, unfortunately, we don’t knowwhensupport will arrive. However, Netflix did confirm that it is working on that support and that it should go live sometime “soon.”
So, Netflix Games exists. What do you think? A worthy addition to the Netflix content?
