Capcom just announced via their official Japanese twitter account that the Behemoth update forMonster Hunter World, which will be their 4th free update, will be arriving onAugust 2ndas part of the Final Fantasy XIV crossover event. Along side their tweet, Capcom has release a new video about the upcoming event which shows off newarmorand a newinsect glaivefor players to strive to acquire.

Starting the Behemoth Questline
Talk to the Serious Handler in Astera after defeating the main story to add the new special mission “A Visitor From Another World”. Players will go to Wildspire Wastes and follow the Cactuars. The Cactuars can be caught and are worth 85 points. This will lead the players to slay a powered up Kulu-Ya-Ku. Afterwards, players will enjoy a cutscene leading them to Elder’s Recess to undertake another Special Assignment.
Notes: Monster is immune to mounts and traps. If it lands on the player it will deal heavy damage. It will be a guaranteed giant crown.
The Legendary Beast
Players will then repel a Behemoth in Elder Recess. This serves to introduce the new fighting mechanics use to take down Behemoth. This is the second part of the Behemoth quest.
The final part of the Behemoth questline. Players should team up and slay this massive beast.
Clearing the special assignment “The Legendary Beast” will grant players the Final Fantasy XIV Jump gesture.
Clearing the special assignment “He Taketh It With His Eyes” will grant players the Dragon Soul Kinsect, Bacon Behemoth Poogie Outfit, guild card titles, the Eorzea guild card background and poses.

Materials obtained from Behemoth will allow players to craft the Drachen Armor Set along with the Gae Bolg Insect Glaive.
