Lies of Pconfirms that a sequel to the Pinocchio-inspired soulslike is already in the works.Jiwon Choi,the director of the game, revealed the first official artwork of theDLC, which could be released in the remaining months of 2024, though a slight delay to 2025 is also possible.
Lies of P’s Director Extends Thanks For All The Support
There’s no doubt thatLies of Pwas one of the biggest surprises of 2023. The idea of a soulslike based on the story of Pinocchio was intriguing, but there were some doubts about whether the approach taken by the Koreans from Round8 would be the right one.The results couldn’t have been better.Lies of Pwas a resounding success, surpassing one million copies sold in just a month, and reaching seven million unique players by March 2024.
Much of this success is due to the game’s presence onXbox Game Pass, though it’s also true that mods released for the PC version helped boost player numbers. Some even used it as a base to create an unofficial version of Bloodborne for PC.

Its director, Jiwon Choi, is very pleased with the tremendous support the game has received. He made this known in an official statement shared on the game’s official Twitter/X account.
Choi confirmed the development of a sequel to Lies of P, which is rumored to be based on The Wizard of Oz, and revealed the first details of the DLC.

Artwork and Soundtrack
Jiwon Choi thanks the players for the overwhelming support, which encouraged the development team throughout the creation of Lies of P. This continued even after the launch and with the subsequent updates.He mentions that he couldn’t have had better support from the employees of Round8, Neowiz (the publisher), and Team Nough, and that he is very eager to work on the future of Lies of P.He revealed two details about the upcoming DLC. First, an unreleased soundtrack piece, lasting 3 minutes and 44 seconds, titled ‘Lisrim.’
Additionally, he unveiled the first official artwork of the Lies of P DLC, which shows the protagonist standing before a towering lighthouse, seemingly a new location featured in the expansion.As the cherry on top, Jiwon Choi confirmed the development of a sequel, though he did not provide details on what it will be like or its possible setting.
