While the majority of the Hollywood industry is lit with chandeliers of glamour and stardom, at the end of the day, the people who reside in that world are humans like the rest of us. Thus, there are stories about many of these stars going through things that hurt. Jennifer Aniston is one of those stars that have witnessed this firsthand.
After suffering a devastating heartbreak during her split from her then-husband Brad Pitt, people felt bad for the actress when they learned Pitt had an affair with Angelina Jolie on set. But this was just the tip of the iceberg, as later when Aniston found out that Jolie was expecting a baby before they were even broken up, she couldn’t hold back her tears.
Jennifer Aniston Couldn’t Contain Her Heartbreak
While there are numerous cases of celebs and Hollywood stars being caught in the act of infidelity over time, the most famous one in recent history was whenBrad Pittrevealed that he had allegedly fallen in love withAngelina Jolieon the set of their filmMr. And Mrs. Smithwhile he was still married toJennifer Aniston. This resulted in the two splitting in 2005. While this was too much for theFRIENDSstar to take at the time, the worse was yet to come.
A recently revived interview from 2005 revealed that Aniston was in a very volatile state after her breakup with her husband, and while she could control it for the better part of the time, she absolutely broke down when she learned that Jolie was allegedly expecting a child with Pitt two months before their divorce was finalized. If theMurder Mysterystar was emotional before this, she completely broke down during the interview after learning about this fact.
The reporter who had taken that interview reported having witnessed Aniston in a state like she might’ve been stabbed in the heart with that news as she silently cried her eyes out. Then, she was so distraught that she didn’t have the will to answer whether she believed that rumor to be true or false. What she did have to say was the answer to the question of whether she believed Pitt and Jolie had a full-blown affair on set. To this, she said:
“At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised by anything, but I would much rather choose to believe him.”
Despite suffering heartbreak, the actress managed to compose herself and move on with her life. Today, Pitt and Aniston still remain good friends.
Where Are They Now?
While many people wanted to believe that this story was an example of ‘all’s well that ends well,’ it wasn’t the case. In 2016, both Jolie and Pitt went through a divorce after a decade of being together. Allegedly, Jolie initiated the divorce as she reported domestic violent behavior from Pitt against her and their children. Aniston, on the other hand, is reportedly living a single life all by herself with no romantic dates on her calendar at the moment.
