28 years after their black and white debut, Dante and Randal are back at the Quick Stop for another hilarious misadventure.
The film has had an unusual release without a traditional theatrical run. Instead, Kevin Smith went on tour to visit 19 cities across the US and Canada, screening the movie followed by a live Q&A session with the man himself. Clerks III: What you need to know
After suffering a massive heart attack, Randal decides to make a movie about the Quick Stop, enlisting the help of Dante, Elias (from Clerks II) and, of course, Jay and Silent Bob.
The plot closely mirrors events in writer/director Kevin Smith’s own life. He had a near-fatal heart attack in 2018 and has gone on to make a movie about the Quick Stop with some old friends.
The movie is packed with cameos from theView Askewniverse, including Ben Affleck, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Justin Long, Fred Armisen and more.
Clerks III: Release Date
As we mentioned up top, the film was initially screened on an exclusive tour, but now it’s available at home.
Clerks III was released to purchase as adigital downloadon August 11, 2025. In the UK, it’s available as adigital rentalonly.
It’s coming to Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand platforms on July 23, 2025. You can pre-order now.
