The Firestone inMonster Hunter Wildsis a rare material to find as it’s in a very exclusive spot in the game. It’s also very dangerous to acquire one as you need to stay chilled to mine this particular mineral. Here’s how to find Firestone, where you need to go, and how to mine it.
Firestone Location
You’ll spot the Firestone inMonster Hunter Wildswhile you’re exploring Oilwell Basin biome. It’s unlocked around Chapter 2 inMonster Hunter Wildsafter defeating some major boss monsters in the story. Once you can frolick around this dark space, travel to the bottom floor of the Oilwell Basin. You’ll notice there are a few gaps you can jump down to reach the bottom from the top. There are also pathways hanging off the map that show the way to deeper parts of the area.
Once you’re at the bottom, you’ll want toreach Area 16. Lava is spewing all around the floor of this place, so make sure you make some cooling potions with the Chillshrooms and Chillmantle Bugs in the area. To the left and to the right of Area 16, you’ll find mining spots. Head over there with your pickaxe and start smashing away at them. You’ll get these three items:

Don’t spend too long in Area 16, however, as your character will start taking damage if they don’t have a cooling effect on them. The hot temperatures may get too much for them.
Where to Find Aqua Sac in Monster Hunter Wilds
You’ll need to take down some tough monsters to get the Aqua Sac in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Firestone seems to be the rarest out of the three, annoyingly. Area 4 on the top floor of the Oilwell Basin also has Firestone as a potential drop. There are two mines to strike at this spot.

Other Resources to Find in Oilwell Basin
There are other resources to find than just Firestone in the Oilwell Basin. You can also capture endemic creatures with the Capture Net. One side mission later on requires you to find anEmber Rufflizardin Monster Hunter Wilds. They’re located on the bottom floor of this environment in Area 14. They’re green and on the floor of the rocky surface. Once they’re caught, you’ll get more details about them in the Endemic Life Field Guide. It’s like catching Pokémon for your Pokédex.
InArea 1, you’ll also find Harpios flying around. They can be taken down with your slinging device and taken out with your weapon. Slash their carcass to get aWingdrake Hide.
