All 10 Artifact locations in Ark Survival Ascended The Island
There are three The Island world bosses in Ark Survival Ascended and the only way to summon them is tofind all their Artifacts. Dragon requires four Artifacts while Megapithecus and Brood Mother require three. This map from zzzombiezzz on Reddit is a helpful tool for finding all the Artifacts on The Island.
Beating the three bosses is how you effectivelybeat the game. I’m here to help you find all 10 Artifacts by giving you a detailed walkthrough as even with a map, the Artifacts are hard to find. Once you have all the Artifacts required for a boss, you’re able to visit the floating pillar associated with their color(red is Dragon, green is Brood Mother, and blue is Megapithecus)and summon them.
Be warned: verify you have great armor and weapons before diving into the caves to find the Artifacts. Every cave is filled with aggressive dinos that are hard to take out, which makes thisa late-game activity. If you don’t use console commands likethe fly cheat code, you’ll need to come prepared.
Where to find the four Dragon Artifacts in Ark Survival Ascended
To summon the Dragon boss, you need Artifact of theSkylord, Strong, Cunning, and Immune. Below are the locations of each Artifact and the path you need to take to get to it.
Artifact of the Skylord is foundin a north-facing cave found on the north side of The Whitesky Peak in the cove. Crouch to enter the cave and hug the right wall. Instead of heading straight, round the ice pillar and continue forward. If you do this, you won’t have to jump to the Artifact.
On the northwest side of The Grand Hills, the Artifact of the Strong cave is foundunder an icy crust. Once inside, hug the left wall. When the cave opens up, go straight through the river and then hug the right wall. Continue forward and then down into the next area. There is another entrance on the left side of the room. Continue through its linear path until you pass two icy cliffs on both sides. Then, enter the room on the left. The Artifact is found by continuing through and finding the Ape statue at the end of the cave.
Artifact of the Cunning isin an underwater cave off the shore east of The Gulch of Lamentation. Continue through the underwater tunnel, hugging the right wall. Continue to hug the right wall the entire time until you see a small opening on the floor. Swim into that and follow the path of light blue crystals. The Artifact is at the end of this tunnel.
The cave entrance for Artifact of the Immune ison the west side of a hillside hidden by rocks in the Redwood Forest. Continue down the linear path into the cave. Once you reach a small body of water, turn left. At the next body of water, enter the cave on the left. Continue forward, turn right, and, near the orange spider eggs, you’ll find the Artifact.
Where to find the three Megapithecus Artifacts in Ark Survival Ascended
To summon the frost gorilla or Megapithecus, you need Artifact of theDevourer, Brute, and Pack. Here is where you may find those three Artifacts.
Artifact of the Devourer isfound on The Dead Island in a cave facing east. It’s also one ofthe best base locationsin the game. Enter the cave, go through the underwater entrance, and you’ll find the Artifact at the bottom of this deep cave. Right when you enter the large area, look straight down and you’ll see it.
Artifact of the Brute is foundin an underwater cave off the coast of The Western Approach. Once inside, hug the left wall. There will be twists and turns, but as long as you hug the left wall and continue forward, you’ll find the Artifact near the end of the cave.
Artifact of the Pack is foundin a cave facing south. The cave is foundbelow a plateauin The Southern Islets. Continue straight through the cave taking the paths that are on the left. After going down, take a right through a passageway with green crystals above it. Once you’re at the large cavern, go directly down and into the cave on the right. Follow the trail and take the path on the right into the red mushroom room. Once you’ve reached the cobblestone bridge, take the path on the right to go around and to the lake on the left side of the room. Go into the lake and follow the glowing mushrooms through it. The Artifact is found on dry land on the other side.
Where to find the three Brood Mother Artifacts in Ark Survival Ascended
Last but not least, to summon the Brood Mother spider, you need Artifact of theClever, Massive, and Hunter. Find the locations and how to find each Artifact in each cave below.
Artifact of the Clever is found ina west-facing cave east of The Grand Hills. Continue straight through the cave. Unless there are bends on the main path you start on, don’t take any turns. Once the cave opens up to a larger area, hug the right wall. Continue along the path hugging the right wall and you’ll find the Artifact on a log in a pond.
Artifact of the Massive is located in a cave thatfaces east and is found in the cove in The Southern Shores. Continue down into this linear cave until you see the lavafall which is where you turn right. Stay on the path as it bends left and then right. When you enter another large cavern, stick to the right wall. Halfway through the path, take the entrance on the right. Continue sticking to the right side and continue straight through this lava section. The Artifact is on a small rock surrounded by lava at the end of the tunnel.
The cave entrance for Artifact of the Hunterfaces north and it’s located in a small valley in The Southern Islets. Continue straight through this linear cave following the glowing crystals. Continue forward through the small bamboo thicket and you’ll find the Artifact at the end of the cave.
Now that you’re armed with all the Artefacts needed to face the bosses in Ark Survival Ascended The Island, you’ll need to face them, preferably using thebest mounts such as the Argentavis.
