During your adventures in the Isle of Dorn in World of Warcraft: The War Within, you’ve likely encounteredLionel, the very hungry talking fish. But what do you feed Lionel, and is this little guy worth the hassle? Here’s everything you need to know about Lionel the frillfish in TWW.
How to rescue and feed Lionel in the Isle of Dorn in WoW: TWW
In the southwest of the Isle of Dorn(40.45, 59,95), players can findLionel, a magical talking fish, beached on the rocks and gasping for water.Click on Lionelto kick him back into the water. He’ll be a little offended, but now you can bring him tasty snacks.
Once Lionel is in the water, he’ll mention that “Maybe a good meal would help” him recover from Dalaran’s unfortunate incident. To feed Lionel, you need tocollectPlump Snapcrabsfrom the nearby rocky beaches.

Return to Lionel once you’ve collectedfive Plump Snapcrabsby clicking on them. Select, and our fishy friend will drop aMagical Treasure Chest… eventually. It can take a little while to spawn, so be patient.
For fellowTomTomusers, you can use the command/way Isle of Dorn 40.45 59.95to find your way back to Lionel. He’s also marked with a silver chest on the map.

What reward do you get from Lionel in The War Within?
After Lionel’s belly is full of crabs, he swims off to find a “social outing” in a net, leaving behind aMagical Treasure Chestcontaining theSapphire CrabBattle Pet. If the chest isn’t spawning for you, wait a few minutes. Like most event treasures in The War Within, the reward can take a little while to spawn.
The Sapphire Crab is considered one of the twelvetreasuresneeded for theTreasures of the Isle of DornAchievement. This achievement has account-wide progress, so feel free to rescue and feed Lionel on any character.

Now that Lionel is happy and most likely about to be caught by a hungry earthen, you can continue on your adventure in Khaz Algar. If you haven’t decided on a class to main yet, check out our article on thetop beginner classes in World of Warcraftfor inspiration.
