Following a stream ofongoing WWDC keynote coverageyesterday, the Internet giant Google issued an update to its Google+ iOS client containing some newsworthy new features.
The free iPhone and iPad apphas been bumped to version 4.7.0 and now offers support for nice-looking digital travelogues, called Stories, that Googleunveiled last month.
For those unfamiliar with Google+ Stories, it’s an album feature that works by combining your photos, videos and location data into interactive presentations. There’s a brand new photo editor in this edition of Google+ offering an updated set of popular photo filters and other creative tools. Additionally, you may now report abusive communities and view total content views on Google+ profiles.
To get you up to speed, notable examples of digital travelogues include the interactive story by Google+ Director of Product Management Anil Sabharwal and albums by paraglider Tom de Dorlodot and DJ Steve Aoki.
“Auto Awesome will get to work in the background, and you’ll get notified when a story or movie is ready,”said Google.
“In fact, if your photo library is already online, you may already have stories waiting for you.”
