Gamescom will return this year as a physical event, to be held at its usual place at the Koelnmesse convention centre in Cologne.
Gamescom 2022 Will Return with Physical Event
Gamescom will make its return this year but not just as a digital event, but will have a physical presence at the Koelnmesse convention centre fromAugust 24th to 28th.
The game show will be employing safety measures to ensure crowds are kept in check, with limited ticket allocation, entrace management, digital queues and extra-wide aisles in halls.

This is the first physical event in the past few years due to Covid, but looks to be reinstating its usual game show this year. Also announced is “Gamescom goes green” an initiative to help the event be “climate-neutral” by reducing and offsetting CO2 emissions through the medium and long term future.
Gamescom Opening Night Live hosted by Geoff Keighley will also be happening as per usual, taking place on August 23rd.
