Though a new series set in the world ofFull HouseandFuller Housewon’t be the same without the presence of Danny Tanner, the franchise cast members are up for revisiting that world with a third show someday. In January,Bob Sagetpassed away unexpectedly at the age of 65. As theFull Housecast has always been very close over the years, the loss hit them all very hard, leaving them feeling like they’d lost a family member.

In 2020,Fuller Housecame to an end with its fifth and final season onNetflix. There are no current plans to keep the franchise going with another spinoff, but that doesn’t mean it can’t happen in the future. Speaking about the possibility of a new show with People, franchise star Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone) initially joked that they could do a third series calledFullest House, but then the comedian noted that the cast would definitely come back for another show if given the opportunity.

“Like, okay, we’ll doFullest House.I think we would in a heartbeat,” Coulier said.

Fellow cast members Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber, who respectively played D.J. and Kimmy on bothFull HouseandFuller House, agreed with Coulier. Of course, it would be difficult for the cast to come together without Saget on the set, as he had always beenthe glue that held them all together. Even so, the cast feels that Saget would want them to do the series without him.

“It would be hard but I think Bob would want that,” Barber explained.

Bob Saget Joked About How to Include Danny Tanner in Fullest House

Other cast members have addressed the possibility of doingFullest HouseafterFuller Housecame to an end. Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner) previously said she was open to the idea. She also pitched a new iteration that could be developed in another decade or two that would be likeFull HousemeetsThe Golden Girls.

“I don’t know, I guess never say never,” Sweetin said on Australia’sThe Morning Showin October. “If you would have asked me twenty years ago if I would be coming back someday to play Stephanie Tanner as an adult I would have been like, I don’t think that is going to happen. Who knows, in another 10, 15, 20 years we doFullest Houseand I get to finally portray my Bea Arthur wannabe asone ofThe Golden Girls.”

The late Bob Saget had also spoken aboutFullest Housepossibilities before his death. Back in 2016, he joked toEW, “What we’re expecting it to do is be so beloved by the fans that later there will be aFullest House, which will be the children of the new kids on the show. And I will come out of Cryovac cave. [You know] how aliens sleep for a thousand years? They’ll just open some thing, and I’ll still be there. I’ll be able to do it. I can do it from a nursing home. I don’t care. I will never let the legacy be tarnished.”

Pitching another idea that could very well be used for the potential third series, Saget told Variety in 2017, “I’ll do it for as long as it goes. One day the show will be calledFullest House, and it will be me in an urn by the window.”
