Flame Fox Yoho Lost Ark Boss Guide: Flame Fox Yoho Level 2 Guardian Raid Boss. In this Lost Ark Boss Guide, I’m going to discuss the mechanics for Flame Fox Yoho, the seventh Guardian Raid boss you’ll encounter in the game after reaching Item Level 540. If you’re searching for ways to defeat this boss efficiently, then this guide is for you!
Flame Fox Yoho Lost Ark Boss Guide: Flame Fox Yoho Level 2 Guardian Raid Boss
After honing your gear sufficiently, you’ll reach Item Level 540, which will allow you to fight the third Level 2Guardian Raidboss inLost Ark. Defeating Flame Fox Yoho will reward you with LegendaryAccessories, a LegendaryAbility Stone, and honing materials, to name a few.
For these types of activities, it’s important to allocate the rightTripodsfor yourSkills. Since this Guardian is weak against water, you’ll want to select Tripods that ought to change the element of your damage if possible. Doing so will significantly improve the amount of harm you inflict. Next, you’re going to want to equip HP Potions or those that restore a percent of your HP back since they’re the only ones allowed in Guardian Raids. Alongside this are Flares, which are essential to identify his location given the size of the map.

More importantly, however, you should bring Panaceas and Protective Potions. Compared to the other Guardian RaidBosses, Flame Fox Yoho not only has a lot of moves but also mechanics that differentiate him entirely. He’s famous for dealing Damage over Time (DoT) by burning the ground around him. This is painful considering that the debuff takes more than 20 seconds before fully subsiding unless you have special potions with you. The Panacea cleanses said debuff and its respective stacks whereas the Protective Potion creates a shield, which can absorb huge amounts of damage, protecting you from the burn status effect.
Additionally, remember to carry Whirlwind Grenades and Pheromone Bombs to stagger this boss and prevent him from teleporting. The indicator for this is when Flame Fox Yoho remains in place and your damage is ‘Invincible’. When he teleports, he also progresses from Phase 2 to Phase 3, opening up new abilities while enhancing the ones he currently has.

Flame Fox Yoho Lost Ark Boss Guide - Core Mechanics
Flame Fox Yoho is a formidable opponent largely because of his agility as well as his capability to inflict hazardous status effects with fire. Here are the core mechanics of the fight that you ought to be aware of before the start of the encounter:
In the next sections of this guide, we’re going to discuss the special attack patterns of Flame Fox Yoho followed by his abilities per phase.

Flame Fox Yoho Lost Ark Boss Guide - Special Attack Patterns
Flame Spin
As you can probably tell, this boss loves executing surprising spinning attacks and one of them is the 360-degree flame spin. Notice how Flame Fox Yoho lifts his front paw prior to spinning in that same direction. While doing so, he’ll also emit yellow energy, which you have to be cautious about since it will randomly set parts of the ground on fire. If you get hit by the attack, you’ll be knocked back.
There will come a time when Flame Fox Yoho releases all of the five orbs he’s holding onto. These will then form a massive circle known as the fire ring, surrounding you and your allies as well as the Guardian. TheAdvanced Classwith the lowest HP should stay inside the circle and wait for it to detonate in order to receive the Burning Soul buff so if you have no intention of taking it, dash away right before the orbs rotate around you.

Summoning Multiple Fire Orbs
Flame Fox Yoho will howl and momentarily lift both front paws, signaling that he’s about to summon multiple fire orbs. Note that there are 5 orbs to look out for before they each stop moving and conjure large purple orbs. Now the ones, which will be released by these are those you’ll have to take to obtain the Burning Soul buff. A total of 3 orbs should grant said buff.
Fire Breath
When Flame Fox Yoho’s tail glows, stay by his side. Avoid hanging around in front of him since he’s close to unleashing his fire breath attack. One thing to note is if you want to receive the Burning Soul buff, you need to be grazed by this skill. Afterward, you ought to use a Protective Potion or dash sideways to avoid taking high damage.
Fiery Ground
Throughout the fight’s duration, Flame Fox Yoho’s pools of fire will continue to increase due to his numerous fire skills. Be aware of where you’re treading since stepping into these will deal DoT and can therefore become deadly especially if you’re a squishyClass.
Phase 1 Attack Patterns
As with the bosses that came before, Flame Fox Yoho has the ability to glow blue in preparation for his charge. When this happens, dash to the sides or move in front of him to counter the attack and stagger him thereafter. However, remember that he’ll also conjure a clone that charges alongside him so you can attack their landing point, which only covers a short straight distance forward, by bombarding it with potent Holding and Casting Skills.
This Guardian can also charge at you without glowing blue, in which case, you’ll have to step aside since you won’t be able to counter it. He’ll briefly howl while his head is pointing upward and then immediately surge forward. For both variations, you’ll receive moderate damage and be knocked down should you get hit.

Spin and Teleport
Similar to Nacrasena, Flame Fox Yoho doesn’t usually settle in one place. For instance, while you’re attacking him, he’ll decide to spin on the spot and then proceed to leap upward. After a few seconds, this Guardian will land on the ground, crushing anyone who’s stepping within the bounds of the telegraphed red circle. Thankfully, it’s easy to spot so simply dashing away from the projection should be enough to continue the fight unscathed, otherwise, you’ll take great damage.
Spin and Clone
One variation of the spin and teleport move is the spin and clone skill. Here, Flame Fox Yoho will perform a 180-degree spin and then teleport in the opposite direction. This will be followed by a 360-degree spin, which would result in conjuring a clone just a few meters away from him. The technique is to step away from where he’ll teleport to as well as the place where the clone will be summoned. Alternatively, you may bombard the spot where this boss teleports since he’ll be staying there until the clone disappears.
Tail Swipe and Sweep
Like the previous Guardian Raid bosses, Flame Fox Yoho will swipe you with his tail after briefly looking to the side. The direction where he looks toward will also be where the tail will attack so be sure to dash forward to prevent taking low damage.
In the same vein, he can alternatively perform a 360-degree spin to hit you with his tail, staggering you in the process.
Flame Fox Yoho can also slam his tail by first bending his head downward. This boss will then crush the players who are attacking him from behind, which means that standing near his back is not a safe place to be. To avoid getting pushed back, you’ll need quick reflexes to dash sideward.
Similar to Chromanium, Flame Fox Yoho growls and jumps in place, resulting in slamming against whoever is standing underneath him. The moment this boss leaps, dash away at all costs to avoid taking moderate damage.
Front Paw Slam
This Guardian utilizes his front paw such that he’ll slam the player with it. This is a quick and sudden ability, which is made evident when he moves his paw backward. It’ll then deal low damage and knock said player back. Dashing to the side should protect you.
Frontal Fireballs
When Flame Fox Yoho lifts his front legs while occasionally staying in place, he’s preparing to release two frontal fireballs from his mouth. Simply move to the side to avoid receiving damage and getting staggered in the process.
Random Fireballs
In addition to frontal fireballs, this boss can conjure random fireballs that’ll come crashing down on the ground. Notice how he lifts his head and howls. Afterward, fireballs will start flying in multiple directions. Since they don’t travel too far, simply running in the opposite direction should allow you to avoid them altogether.
LikeIcy Legoros, this Guardian has the ability to retreat or evade your attacks by jumping backward in a spinning motion. There are no indicators on when Flame Fox Yoho’s planning to do it so when he does, you can opt to dash towards him to continue pelting him with powerful skills.
Phase 2 and 3 Attack Patterns
Kitsune Walk
In Phases 2 and 3, this boss will walk forward slowly while conjuring fireballs that’ll rain on you and your allies. Continue running and dashing around until the rain ends, otherwise, you’ll be knocked down multiple times, which can result in your demise.
Enhanced Jump
Starting in Phase 2, Flame Fox Yoho’s jump ability has been improved such that he can execute this move two additional times in quick succession.
The following skills below will all start appearing in Phase 3.
Shooting Flares
When Flame Fox Yoho remains uneasily stationary, he’s about to howl at the sky for a prolonged period of time. This action signals the emergence of multiple shooting flares coming from various directions. Be sure to run away from their yellow projections on the ground since they each deal massive damage upon crashing down. Remember that these flares also create fiery puddles as a result.
Enhanced Charge
This time around, Flame Fox Yoho will be able to charge a maximum of 3x again and again so run or dash to the side per charge attack to prevent from getting caught in the middle of combat.
Enhanced Spin and Clone
One of the most dangerous skills to look out for is the enhanced version of this Guardian’s spin and clone attack. Here, he’ll summon 1 clone each for every quadrant, making it difficult to evade their corresponding abilities. You can instead dash towards the original Flame Fox Yoho situated in the middle or move diagonally from all of them. If you’ve chosen the first option, run away as soon as the rest of the clones have disappeared.
Enhanced Frontal Fireballs
Remember that in the 3rd phase, this boss can shoot a total of 4 fireballs, one after the other, so make sure to avoid staying within point-blank range to be able to react quickly.
Enhanced Random Fireballs
Rather than howling into the open, Flame Fox Yoho will raise his head and lean forward to summon random fireballs. What makes these deadlier is they’ll create wider pools of fire on the ground, which will stay for a certain period of time. This makes it difficult to avoid especially if you get hit by a tail swipe, causing you to automatically step on the AoE and take stacks of DoT due to the burns.
Final Tips
If you thought Nacrasena is a challenging Guardian Raid boss then you haven’t had any experience battling it out against Flame Fox Yoho. Even if his tankiness has been nerfed in the latest monthly update, he continues to be a nuisance especially if you haven’t equipped the right skills and Combat Items for the job. What makes him lethal are the abilities that create sustained pools of fire in the ground, which can be tricky to get around when your path to safety becomes narrow.
To take advantage of the improved damage you deal, it’s important to look out for the skills that grant the Burning Soul buff to expedite the encounter. Remember to also use stagger abilities as well as Whirlwind Grenades to impair and prevent him from progressing to an even stronger version of himself.
Lastly, whether you’re playing as a melee or ranged character, ensure to keep moving around while incorporating movement skills into the mix to combat Flame Fox Yoho’s agility and to reduce the chances of getting stuck in the middle of a fiery ground. Should it come to this point, use Panaceas so you’re able to remove stacks of DoT.
