Doctor Strange, otherwise known as the Sorcerer Supreme, is a fantastic Vanguard inMarvel Rivals. He can shield allies from incoming ultimate abilities and transport them from the spawn to the objective in a mere second with his portals. Here’s how to play Doctor Strange and wield his ancient magical powers.
All Doctor Strange’s Moves, Explained
Doctor Strange has a range of different powers that help protect his allies and causes frustration among his enemies. Doctor Strange’s moves include the following:
Daggers of Denak (R2/RT)

Doctor Strange throws magical daggers at his foes. They don’t cause that much damage and when you strike someone, Doctor Strange’s Dark Magic grows. It’s decent at taking down airborne enemies like Iron Man, but it’s terrible in short-range scenarios against characters likeThe Hulk.
Cloak of Levitation (L1/LB)

Doctor Strange floats in the air for a brief amount of time, allowing the Sorcerer Supreme to attack foes from above. It’s a good move to get away from ultimates like Jeff the Land Shark’s gobble. It’s also great to jump over walls made by Groot.
Maelstrom of Madness (R1/RB)

The Dark Magic you’ve accumulated can be released and deals a small amount of damage to foes. This stops Dark Magic from cursing with Anti-Heal as you disperse it.
Pentagram of Farallah (Triangle/Y)

Doctor Strange creates two portals that his allies and enemies can enter and jump through. It can be used to trap enemies entering into a match at the beginning of a game. It’s best used to get your allies to the objective as fast as possible, similar toSymettra’s portal device in Overwatch. It can also be used to skip over a wave of your foes to the objective, as you can control where the second portal lands.
Shield of the Seraphim (L2/LT)

Like Reinhardt in Overwatch, Doctor Strange creates a large shield that can block projectiles and even ultimates likeIron Man’s and Squirrel Girl’s.
Price of Magic (Passive)
Every time you hit an opponent, your dark energy goes up. It’s indicated by UI in the middle of the screen. If you don’t release it with the Maelstrom of Madness attack, it will cause Anti-Heal, losing the ability to be healed.
Eye of Agamotto (left analog stick + right analog stick - Ultimate)
Doctor Strange’s ultimate stuns enemies by taking their souls away momentarily. While they’re phased out, the damage dealt to the souls is transferred to the physical bodies. verify to use this when your enemies are grouped up together. Taking over an objective can be easy with this move when used correctly.
Gamma Maelstrom (Team-Up Ability)
When teamed up with The Hulk, Doctor Strange receives excess gamma energy, increasing damage with his Maelstrom of Madness attack.
General Strategies
With Doctor Strange, you’ll want to be the playmaker. Protect allies when an ultimate is being used by an enemy player with the Shield of the Seraphim. Keep a close eye on the dark energy in the middle of the screen and release the Maelstrom of Madness when the number gets to 100.
Marvel Rivals: All Rewards in Fortune and Colors Event
