Death Stranding2: On the Beach has now gone gold, meaning that the developer Kojima Productions has completed development on the game and has sent it to be pressed onto discs. The game will be ready for its June 26 release date, but will likely come with a day-one update to improve features of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
Death Stranding 2 is Now Complete
“We successfully received the gold master approval today for ‘DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH,” posted the game’s director, Hideo Kojima, onX/Twitter. “We filled in the right eye of the daruma.” To help celebrate the announcement, a photo of the development team was also shared on social media, in addition to Kojima signing a statue based on Death Stranding 2.
Playing once again as Sam Porter Bridges, you are off again to protect the world from extinction. You go outside of the UCA on a journey to save humanity. The question is: Should we have connected in the first game? What will be the repercussions?

Death Stranding 2is one of PlayStation’s biggest exclusives coming out this year. It will launch only for PS5 but will likely see a release on PC later. In fact, you can play the first game on an Xbox Series X|S if you so choose. PlayStation also has Ghost of Yotei scheduled to release on June 20, 2025. It features a completely new protagonist during the period between the Sengoku and Edo eras of Japanese history in 1603.
