CCP Games revealed EVE Online: Equinox today. This newest expansion for their sci-fi MMO EVE Online, EVE Online: Equinox, is scheduled to release as a free update on PC and Mac June 11. The new expansion is intended to appeal to all EVE Online players by bringing something for everyone, whether a capsuleer is playing for the grind, riches or reputation. EVE Online: Equinox brings a variety of new features including valuable resources through nullsec space, technological advancements and more harvesting tools, a new map and adapative weaponry for EVE Vanguard, and for the first time in EVE’s 20-year history, players can create personalized ship skins. What’s New in New Eden?
In Equinox, players will be able to acquire new technology and ships. These new advancements will allow them to shape nullsec space in whatever way they see fit. Players will be able to manage the Upwell Consortium’s new product suite which will allow them to harvest and utilize various planetary resources, solar energy and the labor of the cloned workforce. They will also be able to show off their creativity with SKINR, allowing players to craft, customize and sell their own ship SKINs. SKINR will feature a variety of cosmetic layers and patterns, allowing for creative freedom in designing banners for their organizations and social groups of forging a new career path in ship design.

Corporate management has always been part of succeeding in New Eden and Equinox delivers a range of improvements to this aspect. The UI has received a major overhaul, making it more streamlined and intuitive, making corporation management easier than ever. Players will be given new avenues to contribute to Corporation Projects, such as ship sacrifice, salvaging wrecks and earning loyalty points. Rookie pilots will be able to take on more diverse daily challenges and contribute to longer term goals thanks to improvements in the AIR career system.
Evolving alongside the EVE Online community, EVE Vanguard will be getting its next major feature update. This update to the sandbox first-person shooter will introduce an exotic new map, weapon modification and new activities. Players will have the opportunity to scour the ruins of a facility on an archipelago among polluted waters where they can mold their play style with adaptive weaponry and take on new contracts. This limited-time event will run from June 20 through July 1 for Omega accounts.
