Blue Princeliterally has a new puzzle around every corner, and after a while, it gets hard to keep track of the literal hundreds of clues and leads that fill the Mt. Holly Estate.

Blue Prince: Every Way to Enter the Basement

Every entrance to the Underground areas of Mt. Holly Estate.

Some of the hardest puzzles to solve are located in the Gallery, which consists of four unnamed paintings that you must deduce the name of and place on the wall to unlock two permanent treasure chests in the center of the room.

Painting #1

The first painting is the “Thick” art piece, which features a lot of red herrings, like the strange hand with handcuffs and the reflecting water.

The solution/name of this piece isTHINK, a reference to the “Thin” “K” at the end of the word Thick in the painting.

Interact with the revolving panels next to the board to spell out the word, which will lock in place once you have correctly input the word.

Painting #2

The second painting depicts a pair of wagons full of objects flying through the sky, as well as a “P” sitting on top of them.

The solution/name of this piece isPONDER. Each of the carts are full of red objects, but are backwards (as evidenced by the stop signs). “Red” backwards is “DER” and the P is on top of them, so a “P ON DER” becomes PONDER.

Painting #3

The strange painting depicts a “veri” table among a sea of eyeballs, with a sign and some wine also in the frame.

The solution/name of this piece isREALIZE. We decided to focus in on the eyeballls and believed everything else was a red herring, and we all know that “real eyes realize real lies.”

Painting #4

The fourth and final painting depicts a strange room with an infinity symbol, the seven deadly sins written on boxes, a bearskin rug and a painting of a shark.

The solution/name of this piece isRUMINATE. All the objects in the room contain the letters “IN” next to each other, all in a room together. If you turn the infinity symbol sideways, it becomes an eight, and “Room In Eight” becomes Ruminate (this painting also is a depiction of the mysteriously hidden Room 8).

Upon entering the first two painting solutions, one of the mini-chests in the center of the room will permanently open, containing gems you can collect each day. Upon collecting all four, the second chest will open, containing a handful of gold coins and the Room 8 Key, which can be used to draft Room 8 at certain locked doors inside the manor (we’re pretty sure this key only works on Rank 8, and can’t be on the edge of the house).
