Though the assets have been remade from the ground up, the story and core gameplay remain unchanged as you roam a massive land fighting 16 giants to save someone important to you. No matter the cost. Minimal changes or not, at least newcomers can experience Shadow of the Colossus’ glory on modern hardware.

You’re not just trapped on a large map as you go from level to level. The Ishimura is connected and fully explorable, but now with enhanced lighting, it’s even darker and more littered with Necromorphs than ever before.
The iconic monsters have gone through some changes, featuring more thorough gore as you chip off pieces of their flesh and body parts with weapons that have stronger improvements and more punch to them. There are even side quests for upgrades and more lore for the story. As for the plot, new twists and turns have been added, including new voice acting. Now, the once silent Isaac Clarke can speak, and even his voicework is detailed as Isaac’s tone changes depending on the state of his health.
