Two days ago, publisher THQ Nordic and newly formed developer Experiment 101 — a team that’s composed of ex-Just Cause and ex-Mad Max developers — announced a brand-new IP titled:BioMutant, a post-apocalpytic kung-fu action-RPG where you play as a anthropomorphic furry Rocket Raccoon type creature.

Today, over 11 minutes of Alpha gameplay has surfaced showing off a better look at the game (courtesy of IGN), which you’re able to view above. The new video begins by showing off the game’s character creator options. You can customize:

The gameplay footage of the open-world action-RPG extensively showcases theDMC-likecombat that blends melee, shooter, and mutant abilities of your customizable furry protagonist. Among the enemy variety shown include a giant meat-eating ‘Lupa-Lupin’ (from the announcement trailer), a giant insect-monster ‘Mork’ and a bald yeti ‘Sludge Soaker’.

There’s also looting and weapon customization, and more.BioMutantfollows an interactive narrative featuring acontextual storytellerwhere the player creates their own story as well as a morality system that boils into a Yin and Yang type meter that tracks your level of goodness vs. evilness.

BioMutantis currently in development for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It will retail for$59.99 USDand has a slated release date for early 2018. Acollector’s editionfor the game was officially announced two days ago that will retail for $119.99 USD.
